Photographed in the cedar forest of Barouk, Lebanon, Guardian of the Hillside centres on a mature Lebanese cedar rising above a rocky slope. Its broad, spreading branches stand among younger evergreens, giving the tree a quiet presence within the landscape. Rich greens, cool forest shadows and warm sunlit stone shape the atmosphere. The composition draws attention to the relationship between the cedar and the rugged ground that supports it—an image of rootedness, endurance and stillness. Captured in September 2026, this photograph reflects my interest in expressing the character of a landscape through colour, light and composition. Limited Edition: Total Run 10
