In “First Light IV — Ascent,” the sun has cleared the lower cloud layer and appears as a defined sphere within the amber atmosphere. A faint secondary glow echoes above it, while the surrounding sky remains layered in deep blue and muted gold. As the concluding work in the series, the photograph moves beyond anticipation and emergence toward presence. The surrounding darkness preserves a sense of stillness, allowing the sun to feel suspended rather than triumphant. Photographed on 29 August 2026 as the final work in the four-part “First Light” series. Limited Edition: Total Run 10
