“First Light III — Ignition” captures the moment the rising solar disc meets the edge of the cloud bank, transforming the horizon into a narrow incandescent line. The centered composition gives the image a quiet monumentality, while the intense orange light is held in tension against the expansive dark foreground. The result is both minimal and dramatic—a fleeting natural event reduced to light, color, and form. Photographed on 29 August 2026 as part of the four-image “First Light” series.
