“The Virgin Mary — Handcrafted Paper Mosaic” 30 × 50 cm | Original One-of-a-Kind Artwork 224+ Hours of Handcrafted Work Price: $2,500 This artwork is a handmade paper mosaic representing the Virgin Mary, created through a meticulous process of transforming simple materials into a detailed and symbolic image. The artwork was created on a carton paper base, using colored paper, glue, and a single-hole punch. I used the hole punch to create hundreds of small, circular pieces of paper. Each individual circle was then carefully selected and placed by hand, following the shapes, contours, colors, light, and shadows of the Virgin Mary. Rather than using traditional mosaic tiles, I chose paper as my medium, giving the artwork a unique texture and a sense of movement. Each small circle becomes part of a larger image, demonstrating how patience, repetition, and attention to detail can transform an ordinary material into something meaningful. The process was entirely handmade: punching the paper, organizing the colors, applying the glue, and placing each piece individually. The golden tones surrounding Mary symbolize light and holiness, while the blue veil represents peace, purity, and protection. This piece is a reflection of my fascination with transforming simple materials into art while preserving the emotional and spiritual presence of the subject.
