Small coin stands beneath the edge of a massive dark geological formation, appearing to brace the heavy form against collapse on a charcoal-covered ground and black background. Limited Edition: Total Run 10 The work developed from an exploration of ordinary objects placed in psychologically unstable conditions. Rather than showing physical collapse, I wanted to photograph the moment immediately before certainty disappears. A small coin was positioned as the critical brace against a much larger geological form. The scene was deliberately kept minimal so that scale, pressure, and dependence could become the true subjects of the photograph. The image belongs to Conditions of Value, a body of work examining how familiar objects change meaning when placed in situations of uncertainty, support, burden, and consequence.
