Maria Kuznetsova — Bsous, Lebanon
Maria Igorevna Kuznetsova (b. October 2, 1988) is a painter and decorative and applied artist whose work focuses on landscapes, architecture, and quiet everyday scenes. She graduated with honors from the Russian State Professional and Pedagogical University in 2011, specializing in Decorative and Applied Arts. Early in her career she participated in numerous exhibitions and in the Tatianin Den auction in Yekaterinburg. In 2015 she completed postgraduate studies in Social Philosophy, which influenced her attentive approach to observing environment and atmosphere. Kuznetsova currently lives and works in Lebanon, where Mediterranean landscapes, gardens, and light often inspire her paintings. Her work combines the traditions of the Russian academic school with the color and character of the Middle East. Kuznetsova’s paintings are held in private collections worldwide.
